Services
We offer several services from our rabbitry for your convenience! Knowledge is always free, but the following are paid services that we offer. Please read and understand the terms of each before ordering.
You can order a service from our rabbitry by contacting us through our Facebook page or email.
Breeding Service
We offer breeding services with one of our proven bucks. (We have gotten rid of our colored bucks and currently only have two white bucks used for breeding) This service will only be offered to healthy does with no signs of disease. (Minimal ear mites will not disqualify her, but any respiratory issues, dirty vent, or leaking eyes will result in a refusal to service)
You will bring your does to our farm and I will breed her with the buck of your choosing (at my discretion)
Price: $10 per doe
Cage-Building Service
We build all our own cages, as it is the most economical and we can customize them to suit our needs.Â
For breeders, we recommend a 24x24 inch cage. Grow-outs will benefit from a larger cage and larger feeder space, especially if litters are large and housed together. For a normal size (24x24) cage, we recommend no more than 4 rabbits per cage for optimal growth and to limit injuries.
Our cage-building service is just that, a service. You provide the wire and C-clamps, and I will build the cages for you. I provide the door latches.
Price: $10 per hole
Honeybee Removal
Click to see our Price Quote document!
We are now offering honeybee hive and bee removals in our local area. A lot of people locally have been requesting this and we are now ready for business! We purchased a Colorado Bee Vac from Betterbees.com and we come with years of experience working with honeybee colonies.
Hive Removals are not an easy task, and involve hours of high skill work in hot and uncomfortable (stings hurt!) conditions. As such, bee removal jobs from structures such as sheds and houses are not FREE! In many cases, with these type of things, you get what you pay for, and you may be left with a bigger problem than you started. We vow to remove all honeycomb and parts of a honeybee colony and the vast majority of the affecting bees (you can never catch all of the foragers, but they will leave once they realize the hive is gone) and clean up any mess that is the result of our removal process.
Hive Removals include: Deconstruction of the structure as necessary to get to the entire hive, Removal of all wax comb, Removal of the colony of bees, Clean up.
Hive Removals DO NOT include: Reconstruction of the structure, Clean up of any area not a part of our removal process
Honeybee Swarm Removal
In the Spring and Early Summer months, honeybee colonies experience a huge population boom that often leaves them with very little space inside their colony for growth. As a result, you will often find clusters of thousands of bees hanging on tree limbs, car doors, maybe even on the railing of a deck or patio.
As beekeepers, this is a perfect opportunity to pick up an extra colony for our apiary, and as such, we are more than happy to come collect the swarm and bring them back home. If you see honey bees clustered outside of structures in this manner, feel free to give us a call, and we will come remove them for FREE!
(Please note: A swarm is a cluster of bees hanging on an object while their scouts try to find a new home, and it is NOT the same thing as a hive that is built inside of a structure. We are more than happy to remove swarms for FREE, but we do charge for full colony removals. See the section above for details.
