Fertile Hatching Eggs

We hatch eggs every year from our flock to sell chicks and pullets to the public, and usually have hatch rates over 90%.

Hatching eggs sold are unwashed, un-refrigerated eggs. Currently, we are only selling these for local pickup, but we may ship in the future.

Day Old Chicks (Straight Run)

Our Homestead and Silver Laced Wyandotte chickens are sold as straight run only, meaning males and females.

Price: $3 per chick (Homestead)

$5 per chick (Wyandotte)

Started Pullets (6-8 weeks)

At around the 6 week mark, we are able to reasonably distinguish most pullets from their male counterparts. Although we cannot 100% guarantee you won't end up with a late bloomer here or there, we are usually pretty accurate.

Our hens are big, healthy girls that lay a good amount of eggs, even in the cold of winter. Buying started pullets helps you get a head start without dealing with the sensitive baby stage of chickens.

Price: $8 per pullet

Point of Lay Pullets

From about 12 weeks on, we sell our pullets at a premium price as we have gotten them through all of the hardest stages and invested a lot of time and feed into them.

During the summer months, you can expect pullets to start laying around 5 months of age, sometimes sooner, sometimes later.

Price: $20 each

Laying Hens (under 2 years): $30

Laying Hens (over 2 years): $15

Silkie Chicks

Our Silkies are our "just-for-fun" chickens, so they are raised in a multi-color pen with no particular breeding plans.

Colors include: white, buff, black, blue

Resulting chicks have come in all of the above, as well as: splash and partridge.

Price: $5 each

Started Silkies (4-12 weeks)

Our Silkies are our "just-for-fun" chickens, so they are raised in a multi-color pen with no particular breeding plans.

Buy started chicks and less us do the hard part for you! Silkies are bantam chickens, and with their small size comes greater sensitivity to cold and higher mortality rates.

Price: $15 each

Silkies (12 weeks +)

Our Silkies are our "just-for-fun" chickens, so they are raised in a multi-color pen with no particular breeding plans.

We usually have a few that we raise out to maturity each year. From 12 weeks until the hens start laying, we sell them for $20 each.

Laying Hens $40 each

Roosters $20 each

From our Rabbitry

New Zealand Rabbits (6-8 weeks)

We start selling our rabbits at around 6 weeks old, and cull around 10 weeks. Our purebred New Zealands are reaching 5 lb goal weight by 9.5 to 10 weeks, and grown rabbits will weigh between 10-12 lbs.

Price: $20

New Zealand Rabbits (10-12 weeks)

These are slightly older rabbits, closer to breeding age of 16 weeks, and a great investment for anyone looking to get into the business. We can select rabbits that are unrelated so you can get a good genetic diversity in your herd. (We will not have many of this age available, as our goal is to cull unwanted rabbits by 10 weeks)

Price: $30

New Zealand Rabbits (16 weeks +)

These are breeder rabbits, which may or may not be tried from our herd, but are ready to go. Does can be bred with one of our bucks before you take them home. We do not guarantee a litter from this breeding, but we will breed her with a proven buck.

Price: $45

Honeybee "Nuc" Colony (Open-Mated)

Price: $250 (including box and frames)

$150 (bees and 5 frames only)

A "nuc" or nucleus hive is a smaller hive that is usually split off of a larger hive. We allow all our nucs for sale to rear, hatch and get a queen bred and laying eggs BEFORE it is sold, so you are getting a colony that is ready to be set up for the season. The frames you get with the bees will contain a natural mixture of brood, honey, and pollen stores based on what the hive has gathered.

*All of our queens are open-mated, meaning we do not have specific breed stock in our apiary; however, we always select from our strongest hives, looking at factors such as wintering ability, gentleness, and honey production.

Honeybee 10 Frame Colony (Open-Mated)

Price: $400 (including box and frames)

$200 (bees and 10 frames only)

The 10 frame colonies that we sell will be larger versions of our nuc hives, in other words, they were nucs and they grew out of the smaller boxes into the full-sized box. These hives will be well established with plenty of bees, brood, honey and pollen stores to continue on as a strong hive throughout the season.

*All of our queens are open-mated, meaning we do not have specific breed stock in our apiary; however, we always select from our strongest hives, looking at factors such as wintering ability, gentleness, and honey production.
